SIBUR is the leading petrochemical company in Russia and Eastern Europe. The Company operates across the entire petrochemical process chain from gas processing, production of monomers, plastics and synthetic rubbers to the production of mineral fertilizers, tyres and the processing of plastics. SIBUR is a vertically integrated company with its gas processing facilities providing feedstock for its petrochemical production.

SIBUR produces more than 2,000 different types of products. The Company has strong positions in the Russian petrochemical market. It processes more than half of Russia’s APG and produces 22% of its propylene, 19% of its polypropylene, 16% of its polyethylene, 44% of its synthetic rubbers, 24% of tyre production, 16% of its fertilizers, and a considerable share of other petrochemical products.

SIBUR owns plants that employ more than 50,000 people in 26 regions of Russia. The Company is managed along product-division lines: it incorporates Hydrocarbon Feedstock Division, Basic Polymers Division, Plastics and Organic Synthesis Products Division, Synthetic Rubbers Division, and two subsidiaries - SIBUR- Fertilizers and SIBUR-Russian Tyres.

Over recent years, the Company has consistently delivered robust financial and operational results. In 2010, SIBUR Group plants produced 16.5 million tons of petrochemicals and 15.3 billion cu m of dry stripped gas. SIBUR’s revenue in 2010 reached 239 billion rubles (more than US$ 7,5 billion).

Production ans Services

Production management at the Company is based on product divisions. Four business units, which have been established on the basis of homogeneity of manufacturing processes and products, operate at the corporate centre:

• Hydrocarbon Feedstock Division
• Basic Polymers Division
• Plastics and Organic Synthesis Division
• Synthetic Rubber Division

The corporate centre performs functions of strategic planning, resources allocation, development of common corporate standards, regulations and policies, and control of realization of production plans, financial plans and investment projects by the enterprises.

SIBUR's tyre and agrochemical businesses have been allocated as associated companies SIBUR - Russian Tyres JSC and SIBUR-Fertilizers JSC.
